Professor Dr. h.c. Roland Berger is the Chairman of RiverRock's Fund Advisory Committee. Professor Berger is Founder and Honorary Chairman of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants GmbH, Munich ("RBSC"). He studied Business Administration in Munich and Hamburg. Prior to founding his strategy consultancy in 1967, Professor Berger was employed as a consultant and ultimately partner at a leading American consulting firm based in Milan and Boston.

RBSC has grown to become one of the world's top five strategy consultancies with more than 50 offices in over 35 countries employing 2,700 employees. RBSC advises leading international industry and service enterprises as well as public institutions. Since 1996 he has been a lecturer and since 2000 Honorary Professor for Business Administration and Management Consulting at the Brandenburg Technical University in Cottbus. He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität Munich, and of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich.

Furthermore, he is Chairman of the Board of the Society for the Promotion of Economic Research (Friends of the ifo Institute) and a member of the Advisory Council of INSEAD business school in Fontainebleau, France. Professor Berger was a member of many expert groups advising various federal and state governments. The Portuguese State President, Aníbal Cavaco Silva, appointed him to the "Globalization Council Portugal".

In 2007, Professor Berger was appointed by the European Commission to the "High Level Group on Administrative Burdens" headed by former Prime Minister of Bavaria Dr. Edmund Stoiber. Professor Berger is Honorary Consul General of the Republic of Finland in Bavaria and Thuringia. He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Roland Berger Foundation, which is committed to protecting human dignity and human rights worldwide, and to facilitating access to high-quality education for talented young people from weaker social classes in Europe.

Professor Berger is a member of several supervisory boards and advisory councils of national and international companies, foundations and organizations, including Fresenius SE & Co. KGaA (Chairman of the Audit Committee), Bad Homburg; Prime Office AG, Cologne; RCS Mediagroup S.p.A.(Vice-President), Milan, Italy; Geox S.p.A., Biadene di Montebelluna, Italy. He also serves on several international advisory boards, including those of Deutsche Bank AG in Frankfurt and MillerBuckfire in New York.
